We've thought a lot about this and have come up with a way to ensure our outreach reaches the prospect in a post-COVID/WFH world. Here it is:

  • LinkedIn Location Filtering: We verify each prospect's LinkedIn profile to check their listed work location. If someone is marked as fully remote or hybrid, we exclude them from physical mail outreach.
  • Location Matching: We send mail only when the job location and personal location on LinkedIn match. This ensures the prospect is likely working from the office address provided.
  • UK Mobile Number Requirement: We only send outreach to prospects with a UK mobile number. This allows us to follow up via phone, email, and LinkedIn if they don't receive the mail directly. Even if a prospect is remote, mentioning that we've sent something to their office often piques curiosity and opens the door for conversation.

By applying these steps, we minimise the chances of mail going unseen and maximise engagement. Our clients have not reported any issues, and the curiosity generated often leads to productive discussions regardless of where the prospect works.
